Comanche Lookout Park Trail Markers

These markers were constructed in 2005 by artist George Schroeder as part of the trails system in the park.

Najo Jām (the "Indian Head" Project)

What started as The Indian Head Project, suggested in our meetings, evolved into a public art project Najo Jām on the top of Comanche Lookout.

Then the project was nearly completed in September 2020 the artists and Friends shot a video describing the effort.  San Antonio Parks and Recreation also published a report on the project.
