• Hockley-Clay Cemetery This all-but-forgotten landmark was a vital part of the Afro-American community around the turn of the century.  Amateur historian Mike Wright and landscape architect Everett Fry revived interest in the site and have spearheaded its restoration and exploration.  The City of San Antonio has designated the cemetery a Cultural Heritage District.
